Welcome to the Horizon Middle School Band Program! This page is designed to provide students and parents helpful information as you make the transition from elementary school to middle school. This page will contain dates for summer camps, and information on how to select and instrument and sign up for band when you enroll for 6th grade classes at Horizon Middle School.

Included in this letter is information on how to sign up for band when your student enrolls for 6th grade classes at Horizon Middle School, information regarding summer camp dates and times, and information about instruments and required supplies.
New beginning band students are highly encouraged to attend our summer
band camp, as this an excellent way to make friends and get off to a
head start at learning your instrument. There is a $12.00 camp participation fee (make checks payable to Kearney Public Schools). A pre-registration form is not required. Please arrive early the first day of camp to register your student. Your student must have an instrument and all required supplies at this time. If you have any questions, please contact the director. We look forward to seeing you this summer!
