Passports

This is an introductory course for 6th grade students.  The course is 6 weeks long covering Spanish, French, and a little bit of Chinese.  We do lots of hands on activities and games while learning the language and culture of each area.  Some of the areas we cover are as follows:

Spanish

  • Where Spanish is spoken in the world
  • Simple Greetings/Goodbyes
  • Alphabet (30 letters)
  • Numbers 0-29 and 10 body parts
  • Maya codex
French
  • Where French is spoken in the world
  • Simple Greetings/Goodbyes
  • Colors
  • Clothing - with a fashion show     6-5 fashion show
  • Mardi Gras/French Flag/France
Chinese
  • What is your name?
  • Information about the country and culture of China
  • Numbers 1-10
  • How to use chopsticks
