Hello! My name is Julie Everett. I am originally from
Grand Island, Nebraska, but I now call Kearney my home! I have three
wonderful children. Brittany, my oldest, is seventeen and attends Kearney
High School. Gordon, who is thirteen, attends Sunrise Middle School. And
Colvin, who is five, attends the YMCA preschool this
year!!
I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln
for my undergraduate degree. Upon graduation, I became a Title I
Reading teacher for Centura Public School in Cairo, Nebraska for five
years. My last two years at Centura were spent as a Kindergarten
teacher.
I
left Centura after seven years to become a Second
Grade teacher for Kearney Public Schools. The 2007-08 school year is my ninth year as a 2nd Grade teacher at Northeast Elementary. In
December
2002, I obtained my Master's Degree in Elementary Education
Specialization. I consider myself a lifelong learner and never feel as
if my thirst for knowledge is ever quenched.
