The importance you place on learning
is reflected in your child. Your participation and help are
important to your child's learning. Second graders have little
worksheet homework, but there are many ways you can help your child.
Study weekly spelling words. Read with your child daily (15 to 20 minutes). Look over papers brought home and discuss them. Study the addition and subtraction math facts to 18. Look daily at the planner and initial your child's planner.
Planners will be used each day to tell our parents
the good news about what we will have done each day in school or future
activities.
Reading Strategies
Look at the beginning sound.
Does it make sense?
