Week 2 Ronald
Literacy - The children will read, Ronald Morgan Goes to Bat and Leveled Readers. Skills taught: Genre - Realistic Fiction, vocabulary practice, short o sounds, sl blends, correct punctuation, sentence structure, Journaling, and characterizing.
On Tues., Aug. 30, please allow your child to bring short o items
to school.
On Wed., Aug. 31, please allow your child to bring any sports
trading cards.
Math - The children will practice the addition facts through sums
of 10, using the Number Line and the Counting On Strategies.
It would be helpful for your child to practice these facts at home.
You may use flashcards or Math games to review these facts.
Social Studies - We will study Neighborhoods and how they
change over time.
Citizenship - We will continue to talk about sharing, caring and
respect for others.
