These skills will be used in application programs in academic areas.&nbsp; PowerPoint, a multi-media application, will be introduced and /or reviewed also.<br><br><a href="http://sites.kearneypublic.org/sunrisebuscomp/stories/storyReader$8"><span style="text-decoration: underline; color: rgb(51, 51, 255);">7th Computer Connections</span><br style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255);"></a><br>Computer Connections is designed to improve keyboarding skills and introduce and refine computer applications skills. MicroSoft Office, AppleWorks and Safari/Firefox will be used in this course. Some of the units covered are word processing, graphics, multi-media and the Internet.<br><br><span style="text-decoration: underline; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">8th Computer Technology</span><br style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><br>Students will have the opportunity to explore different areas of computer technology. Some of the areas are: Presentations, desktop publishing, web pages, virtual reality, and computer video. The students will use what they learn and apply it to other school subjects or personal interest areas.<br><br><span style="text-decoration: underline; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Exploring Careers/Business</span><br style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><br>During this class students will learn some basic steps in researching and choosing a career to fit their lifestyle and the job search process.
