Information about Sunrise Middle
School
Sunrise opened its' doors in August of 1996. It is our pleasure
to welcome you to the Sunrise Middle School website. We hope that
this site will begin to give you an understanding of what our learning
community is about. Grades six through eight attend Sunrise making
a student population of around 550 students. Sunrise Middle School
is dedicated to providing our students with a strong academic program
emphasizing resourcefulness, respect for self and others, and responsibility
for self. Our doors open each day at 7:45 am and close at 4:00 p.m..
School hours begin at 8:15 and end at 3:15 p.m.. The opportunities
provided for students at Sunrise are incredible.
Our Mission Statement:
Sunrise Middle School is dedicated to providing our students with
a strong academic program emphasizing respect, responsibility and
resourcefulness. Respect is showing concern and consideration for
others, yourself, and for your surroundings. Responsibility is taking
ownership for your actions and fulfilling your obligations to yourself,
others, and your surroundings. Resourcefulness is using your fullest
ability to find more than one solution for a problem.
